And I'm putting the blame on Chris!!! It was as much of a surprise to me as it is to you! He's adorable though! And he is going to grow SO fast... but don't they all? He's eight weeks old and we've named him Titus, like the Roman Emperor. He should be about 180 pounds in 2 years. His daddy is a Blue Merle and his mommy has some awesome champions in her line. Kleven and Ezra adore him and he doesn't seem to mind at all when they pull his ears and poke him in the eyes either! Call us crazy, but we're in doggie heaven!
Edit: I was informed that not everyone will catch onto his breed, so in case you didn't put it together... he's a Great Dane! :)

You didn't even mention it's a GREAT DANE!! The kids will be able to ride it like a horse in a little while! I'm glad that we can play with it whenever we want, but then leave it at your house! :) Congrats on your new son!
Oh you are a brave one! You're kids are lucky though, my poor deprived kids think I'm so mean since I won't cave in and get a dog. Do you still have the same dogs that you did in your old house as well?

That is awesome. If you need and "Dane" adivce, Charis has had plently of experience!! Watch out for your furniture though - if Titus is anything like Bruiser (Charis' dane) he will back his rear right up to the couch and take a seat. Great Dane seem to have no concept of how big they really are! So fun!!

No, we don't still have the other two... Tilly went to live with a good friend of ours last fall and Tank found a new home a few months later. We were going to wait a few years to get a new and bigger dog... but Chris found this breeder and the price was right and well... you can see how it would be hard to resist, right?!?
Danes are one of the best breeds for families and don't need a whole lot of space. Giant lap dogs and docile floor pillows.
What a sweet puppy...good luck on inheriting a monster!!
Who gets to clean up after his potty? Cute though.
How fun! Its so neat to have a dog grow up with your kids, Bear and Hunter are inseparable (according to Hunter!) How did your fam take the "new addition" news?
I have been begging for a dog! Kids love dogs and I think it creates so much for the children to do!
make sure you put a lock on your back gate so no one takes him away from you. He is so dang cute!
